October 24 Fall Color Report

Well, it’s been over two weeks since my last report!  The weather has finally gotten cooler and things are really starting to change rapidly.

On the left is what my tree looked like on October 7 and on the right is what it looked like today!

What differences can you see?  Can you see that even the maple in the distance on the left has started to change?

Do you notice that the smaller bushes are still green?  Will they ever turn color?  What do you think?

Comparing just one branch:

Can you see a difference in color?  Does it look like many of the berries have been eaten yet?

Compare the leaves on the right to those of the left.   More of the leaves are solid pink now, but some are still pink and green and some are still green.

How long do you think it will be before the leaves all fall off?  How long will the berries still be on the limbs?  Make a prediction!
